Some of you might recall that I am an Eagle Scout. Also, in April 2008 I went to the White House to represent a portion of the Boy Scouts of America’s Eagle Scouts when President Bush welcomed Pope Benedict. Really cool moment of last year, this decade and possibly my entire life. Now, I am back to not seeing, but meeting famous people.

Won't be at school tomorrow, why? See below.

Khadijah was trying to cheer me up because Mrs. Ovalle’s dumb move to give me a 0% on three quizes I hadn’t taken yet. It helped, she’s a really helpful person to make you feel better, so if you’re reading this Khadijah, thanks :) As everyone knows this month has just been a rough slide for me, so hopefully when I get some of theses...issues settled it’ll be all back to normal, but not to the way I want things, or been trying to make things be.

Day by day, Ram Model Congress gets more and more boring. It was all cool and fun at first, but it’s now getting extremely boring. We did the usual sitting down routine, turned in our homework then committee members and the leaders of the House went into the back of Davala Hall to discuss something that I really have no clue what it is. As for the rest of us, we just watched some boring episode of some dumb ass drama show called The West Wing. The episode from their fifth season, episode being called Shutdown was a yawn festival with a tweak of some funny perks. Other than that, that was a very long fifty minutes of class.

Seriously now, if it wasn’t for having Chemistry and Spanish in the afternoons I wouldn’t mind blue days all that much. I mean like I said I love the kids in my class, they’re all extremely awesome and they make the classes much more enjoyable. I don’t need to give a shout out to explain who they are. And if you’re in question if you are one of them, don’t worry you probably are. I now reread this and I think, wow can I be more of a jerk to my teachers. Seriously, my Chemistry teacher is out of town because of her sister’s in a recovery after almost being paralyzed. My prayers go out to her, and I wish the best for her.

Probably the height of my day was when it started, in Computer Graphics. Stephen loaned me the 1996 Smashing Pumpkins’ album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness which is perhaps one of their best studio albums. I am really excited to get the music on to my iPod and have the full CD and as I type this blog I am importing the CDs, along with making flash cards for Spanish, although I am almost done. Now I am done. I seriously stopped for ten seconds to finish it.

That was a good moment of the day cause I know of how good of a album it is. Right now I am listening to filler tracks and I am really enjoying them. They’re like hidden wonders. Thanks again Stephen. It was fairly awesome of you to loan them.

Gill and Ben got to admit they had some sort of a grudge going on today in Health class. If they’re reading this right now...they’re probably laughing to themselves and in shock that I am actually putting this in my blog. Gill began to get pissed off, primarily because on Gill’s binder, notes, and bag...Ben was expressing his...art. In that I mean he was drawing hairy penises. And thank you Benjamin Wittig. Because of your actions, I used the word penis in my blog for the first time ever. I hope I don’t have to say it again anytime soon.

For English class, during the second half after lunch, we watched the first 45 minutes of the motion picture 12 Angry Men. It’s about a jury that needs a 12-0 either guilty or not guilty unanimous vote in order to make their final choice on the defendant. The case is about an eighteen year old who supposedly murders his abusive father. The history behind the kid isn’t that good. He has a very high criminal record and has grown up in a rough neighborhood ghetto. His criminal record includes being in knife fights, mugging, etc.

I’m going to skip over Geometry, because that class is uneventful. Well after Geometry it was the usual. Walked and talked with Anna back the locker bay, then after talking to Anna I went to the cafeteria with my normal gang of friends to talk a bit. After I went to get my Pre-arranged absence sheet...which I will explain later in this blog.

No one said life was easy. This year so far has been the toughest year for me, ever. It’s such a shame I guess in a way, because I look in the past from around September or October and from myself in that vantage point, I was probably think everything by now from what I was trying to accomplish would be at the height of things and things would be just the way I wanted it. While I got to admit I am farther down the road on those accomplishments and missions I wanted to finish aren’t wear I want them to be. Somethings kind of went down hill. Lately, I have been feeling neglected and ignored and even though it’s probably not true, even sometimes when I feel like some people hate me or just don’t really see me as a friend as I see in them. That, I won’t deny is probably true. I can say names, but I don’t want to hurt feelings. Maybe some of you know who you are. If you think you’re one of those people, then start to change.

The first ideal version of a highlight today began before school actually began. Aidan and I went to the Media Center because for probably the eighth, ninth, or tenth time this year, Emmanuel told us that we could see his girlfriend. I have once, Aidan is still yet to see her. Poor Aidan, the day I saw her he was home sick. Life’s a bitch like that. Not the point of today’s story, but a recap of how obnoxious stuff in life can be. Aidan and I did our normal routine, went into the library, en route to find Emmanuel and for him to show us his girlfriend. Oh, but guess what? We get to the table he normally sits at. His reaction “....shit.....”. Initially, from that reaction...I knew that we wouldn’t be seeing his girlfriend. He let us out and promised us tomorrow in the library for sure. Yeah, sure. Hope he is not making another bullshit excuse of procrastination. Odds are...he is.

Last Health class, Gill Tarbett and Ben Wittig were not at my table. Well, that class I’ll say it was a tad bit quieter. Their friendship is what I call, a love-hate relationship. Gill gave Ben a manicure while Ben was flicking her off while doing so. They got into an array of arguments so pointless, I’m not going to even bother blog about it. Yeah...

In English class today we finished the last two chapters of Harper Lee’s 1966 novel To Kill A Mockingbird. Overall, it was a good story, I thought, but I got to be honest here. I didn’t really exactly read the book. I just skimmed the sections depending on the worksheets we got. It was to my benefit for the fact that I did recieve on average a grade of around 96% on these papers. Mainly because they were challenging but easy enough to find in the book. Even though there were some times I did have to read a couple pages. Now, we watch the movie, which I hear is a bit of a yawner. Great...

As you can recite from the title of this section, today was the fourth day of Ram Model Congress 2009. And for today we spent the vast majority of it in our committees amending, passing or rejecting “bills”. Our Committee Leader came late for a part of the time our upper chair, Bobby Bray was the leader. As return for making him be the Republican leader for our committee (although I’m a Democrat), he made me have to go up to the podium and call up people to report to our table.

To start off a relatively awesome day, I started off with a relatively not-so-awesome class. We will just call that class...Geometry for now. But my oh my did I get really, really, really lucky today in that class. And it was thanks to my unobservant substitute teacher who didn’t see a big time error I made today.

Well, I must say you were looking very professional today for Model Congress! Doing you party whipping and all that good stuff. And yes, people did seem obsessed with my Under Armour shirt and kept stretching it and stretching it. Thankfully, Mrs. Stromwall’s creep out factor was low today...thank god.

Ben

Benjamin, Benjamin why were you walking outside today in a T-shirt? I mean seriously, it was probably in the low 40s if not upper 30s, so you must have frozen to death. Hopefully you didn’t get hypothermia. Oh, by the way there’s something I need to talk to you about.

The Irish Update

Aidan was not at school today...hungover? I think yes! Oh Aidan guess what! Emmanuel showed me his girlfriend today!!! No joke either!!!

Final Thoughts

I got back relatively early from my Scout meeting, which was boring...as usual, the scouts were a bit wound up but they calmed down when asked upon. So that’s always good. Tomorrow’s another day, but thankfully it’s a gold day...with the exception to Geometry, but hey there’s always something about any day that you may not particularly like so, I’ll just suck it up and go on with my day. Later guys and girls.

My mom told me that from now on today that I have to read at minimal for at least thirty minutes every night. While I probably read about fifteen to twenty minutes everyday without anyone telling me to, just for that...I won’t read at all tonight. I don’t want to sound like a hard headed guy bearing a grudge because I am being forced to read, but I guess well...I got better things to do than read, and I seriously do not have the time to set aside to read tree killing stories we call books. Right now other than this blog, I got some emails to the troop I need to type, some pictures I need to get organized for a photo collogue project for Computer Graphics, type a letter to a constituent for Model Congress. I had some Chemistry earlier but its done.

My point being is when my mom tells me a new policy it will die in like a week, so it’s so dumb for her to actually waste her time to enforce that I will do something that I simply wont do. She did say whatever I wanted to read I can read, so I guess it will be this blog. I did read the Valor Dictus and the Comics of The Washington Post for around fifteen minutes total, so hey that’s good enough. Sorry Mom, I won’t read for thirty minutes a night.

In first period Computer Graphics, I finally figured out what exactly I want my memory project to be like. As you recall from earlier blogs it was going to be a Wanted ad in a American West style, but I chose to do that. What I did was use some burn effects to make it look vintage and old. Then I printed it out, stapled the corners and in an organized manor, folded and crumpled the paper many times to make it look aged. After that I scanned it back in, and I personally think it came out amazing. So that’s always a good feeling when you know your artwork is going to come out good.

Beyond that, I am going to use a background of various Philmont pictures from my expedition in July 2007. I was grayscale the photos and give them a sepia like monotone to them, to give them a Western, yet vintage look to it. I really think now it’ll come out awesome. I’ll be sure to upload it into my Photoshop album on Facebook for all you guys to see when I am complete with it, which right now should be Friday.

Right before we got into order for Ram Model Congress, Abdul Jama made a comment about my blog yesterday, which I felt was a bit ironic because I was thinking at the moment what should my introduction for today’s third day of Model Congress be for me...then wham! We land again to the time of the day when I sit down, while doing other activities and squeeze some awkward times together to hammer out another daily blog. Now I think...61, that’s an impressive number of days in a row to be doing these blogs, and each one will always be unique and individual in their own way, because no day is exactly the same. It was really good blue day, but despite that...I just don’t know if every thing's right in the position I want it to be. Who is to know for sure what it is, maybe my goal by this weekend is to figure out what that issue is. Now for the important part of the blog...the blog.

Since I didn’t see you at all today, I question the absolute need to type you one today. It’s not that I don’t want to write one, it’s because I have no new material to work with, I mean tomorrow I am bound to have some. For me, the school bus driving for the bus I ride on, Bus #44, Mrs. Papageorge wasn’t driving the bus this morning. It was Sherri, the driver of Bus #43, and as a result she came late, that led to me...coming late to school. What are the odds?

Sherri didn’t come and pick me, and the Lohrmans, our neighbors up until 6:51. Anyone in the right mind knows that lives in Clifton...that’s way too late to pick up kids at a school bus stop, and we still had about four or five stops still on our run. So we didn’t even get to school until 7:23 AM. Or well that’s what the Class of ’06’s so spectacular clock said. Now, I wasn’t so bummed out about this, primarily because I was going to be extremely late to Geometry. I mean yeah, my friend Anna Farwell who I walk with to that class was probably bumming out that she didn’t get to walk and talk to me this morning, I was thinking this. I still get to miss Geometry. Also, she probably could just talk to me after class...which she did.

As for the bus ride, I sat by Ben Johnson, listened to some wonderful jams on my MP3 device...particularly the Apple iPod. Some wonderful rock music groups I was tuning to on my MP3 player included The Strokes’ “Last Nite” , Atreyu’s ”Becoming the Bull”, The Smashing Pumpkins’ ”Bullet With Butterfly Wings” and Tool’s ”The Pot. Good stuff, good stuff. Oh yeah and I got to class at 7:36 AM.

For me, unlike most kids that Ram Model Congress on a gold day today had their first time, I was having my second time of Ram Model Congress, today. We picked our top three vital issues today, one of them being from a kid in our class named Abdul Jama. His issue was on stem-cell research, which as wierd as it sounds, (if it works) could make it possible to harvest and grow limbs, organs, etc. Creepy? Yes. But hey it’s a key pinaccle point that can define forensics and biological technology of the 21st century. We also talked about some not so surprising issues that were important. These were alternative fuels and improving our healthcare system.

My morning on the bus was boring, it was the first time this school year when I was on the bus that I didn’t have my iPod. This was because I left my iPod in my room. Actually, this was stupid on my part because it was lying near my cell phone and my wallet which I grabbed right before I got out the door. So now, I took my iPod and put it in my backpack so I can listen to some wonderful tunes on my lengthly bus ride to school tomorrow.
