The Lone Star State continues to bring the country mounts of joy. As if FC Dallas nabbing a 1–0 road victory in Mexico to UNAM was great, and monumental, a rather secondary piece of news hits  the blogosphere.

That's Clint Dempsey, who scored twice for Fulham in the UEFA Europa League as the Cottages defeated Dnipro of Ukranie 3–0 in the first leg of the playoff round. Below are his goals.

I simply cannot accept either ideal. Because from the atheist standpoint, there's nothing upon your death. That's it, that's all. It was like before berth. My doubt comes from the simple question of existence in general. There's a universe, galaxies, stars, constellations, and planets. There is this entire dimension of Worlds and possibly other Worlds within other dimensions and black holes and so on and so forth. If there was nothing, then there would simply be nothing at all.

OMG A SENSITIVE TOPIC THAT CAN BOIL THE POT. NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!

Like no other. Perhaps when your mind wonders so much in a mini golf shack, you eventually wind up getting into these deep internal conversations. Conversations that involve such simplistic questions to ask, yet so complicated to answer. Questions that circle around the topic of existence, which has led to me second guessing myself. Which, well, is something we all do quite often. Some of which in justified manner, and others due to being too hesitant to move forward in our decision-making.

Religion can piss me off

Like many of you, I'm at that fork in the road where you decide which people you really wish to keep in touch with come college, and whom you wish to keep a solid friendship, or relationship. Frankly, it's contributed to the enduring summer. Cause, I have been speaking to fewer and fewer people this summer than ever before, and consequently, I feel that I've probably irritated some of them to a unbearable degree. Now, this will trigger either the snarky "no fucking shit, Tyler" or the sympathetic "noooo Tylerrrr!" Some truth with those statements, yet some fabrication in the sheer hope of hiding truer feelings.

It has been perhaps the most uneventful experience of the summer. And since it has consumed a solid amount of my summer time, yet filled my wallet, I might as well explain the diverse, intriguing lifestyle of working as a mini golf attendant. I know this will be the most exciting blog I will ever compose. Heh, get that? Irony. Cause...never mind.

The job basically involves the required knowledge of knowing how to sort golf balls based on their color, and making sure you properly insert the flags into the hole on the course. Oh, and running a register. When people make those extremely unfunny "no big deal (nbd)" jokes, this is truly no big deal. And yet, despite this I have found ways to make mistakes...as a mini golf attendant. But, I'm getting bored typing this piece, so I'm calling quits on the post.

And on the topic of my job...

No really. This summer has been enduring like no other. The first events of the summer? Prom, graduation and the All-Night Grad Party? It seems like ages ago. Really does. As much fun as they were, I have been trying tirelessly to replicate the same amount of fun during those events during the summer. Evidently, it has not worked to the degree as I would like, and mixing that in with a mind-draining job as well as only going out of town once, it causes a painfully endless period of time.

Per the request of Tristam, I was told to begin hammering Facebook posts, tweets, FourSquare checkins, and the entire social media gang all with one common topic: college quidditch.

Now, I really remembered this thanks to a project of archiving my Facebook status updates from day one to day...somewhere around 1,200 by now. Needless to say, my Internet tech savviness has been good, but in regards to quidditch, it has been outright unacceptable.

The twenty-first week of the 2011 Major League Soccer season saw the league heavyweights, except New York (if you still consider them a “heavyweight”) return back to their normal status. Along with a return to normalcy, we got a glimpse of some very, very young talent and their professional potentially. Ahem, Luis Gill and Diego Fagundez. And finally, following a wild draw in the nation’s capital, Toronto FC just never meant to win soccer matches. We also are beginning to see the start of what will be a wild race for the wild card berths in the playoffs. Good move, MLS. You did well expanding the playoffs. And I earnestly mean that.
