Anger is not a word often used to describe bowling. But when it came to bowling with Carl, Garrick and Tyler Graver then it can be. Because I have a very interesting story to share that perhaps Garrick will try to forget. It was our second game of bowling we were...playing. My score and Garrick's score was neck and neck close, and it was the real competition.

This weekend was boring. I mean, yeah, it was awesome because it was Thanksgiving, but for most of the weekend, I lost all my electronic. Yes, I know. Me? Losing my privileges? Shocker. It truly has to be. But why I lost them, that's a whole different story.

I walked on bare feet through hot sand in the Sahara desert out in Northern Africa. The airplane had crashed, and I was the only survivor. The sand was stinging hot, and my feet bruned horribly. I had to live off of airplane bags of peanuts and whatever I could fit in my backpack. I have no clue where I am, so I am trying to go north, I believe it will be the quickest route possible back to civilization.

Each time they arrived at the school, it was the same old story. They expected the same old stuff. But this day was different. When they arrived at the school, they found it empty. Completely deserted. The parking lot: empty. The students: gone. It all seemingly vanished. They walked around the school, and in spite of the broad daylight it felt like walking through an eery ghost town. They felt spooked. Confused and nervous, they went back into the main hallway, in the hope that they could find someone, anyone. Once they got to the main hall, they saw an weird figure on the other side of the school, it looked at us and ran outside.

I don't have any good ideas to write about. So, I'm going to write about random things that pass through my head to kill time. Oh look, it's Michael wearing a Philmont shirt. I remember Philmont...good times. Let's see what is there to look at–the carpet. It is very blue-toned, amazing, right? Speaking of blue Kyle's big blue shoes are–well almost in my face. Now I am glancing at Michael's watch and it's 12:39 p.m., and 47 seconds. Wow, aren't I cool. Mrs. Goodrick just said we have 40 seconds left to finish our journal entries. Here shirt has many stripes on it. I see a light fixture that looks as if it's going to fall.

One time, I was at Scout camp. It was very hot, and very humid day. It was about two years ago. So, I was at the Handicraft pavilion working on my Woodcarving Merit Badge. My dad had just given me a brand new pocketknife, so I was excited to use it. Like the genius I am, I cut my finger. I went into the first aid room and went to the hospital to get six stitches.

Well, I'm not going to talk about the time when about the hungry thing b/c Mrs. Goodrick said I could. So instead, I'm going to talk about this weekend and my highlight story of the weekend. The Dulan's were going giving me a ride back from my soccer game in Reston which we won 5-1. I scored, so wahoo! When they dropped me off, nobody was home.

Last weekend, our soccer team traveled out to Manassas to play a road game against North Prince William County F.C.

Anxious as we were to play, we were kinda mad that Splashdown Waterpark was closed cause our team wanted to go there after the game. But whatever, I'll go to the game.  The team were played well not try to get all radical  We started off a little shaky and we went down 0-1. Quick to respond, our team quickly came back to tie it 1-1. But for whatever reason, things fell from there. In just a short second latter, it was 1-2. Then soon after a penalty kick for them. 1-3, us down. It turned ugly. Fast. 1-4, then 1-5.

It almost became 1-6, but luckily, we stopped them. It had only been 20 minutes in the game, but right before halftime Garrett C. literally ran over six of their players while dribbling the ball. Then, me, being left wing made a hard run down the left flank of the field.

THE RAIN HAD JUST STARTED as we got to Lookout Peak, the sky had been dark and dreary for most of the day and it was not as hot, but still kind of warm when you are lugging a 40-pound backpack. It had to have been the most hellish day we had at Philmont and we were exhausted beyond words. IN the vicinity though as we reached, camp what seemed to be explosions of purple light. Despite our physical exhaustion, we continued to build up camp as the raindrops fell.

What I thought about what I saw is something should never happen (in the first move, that is). The conditions the Ugandan children dealt with is incredibly horrible. Heck, that's an understatement. It's hell on Earth. Kids having to commute to the cities at night solely to stay safe, how to word it? It's god-awful. The three guys, what they could accomplish, it shows the ability of human effort if one commits their time to something they truly believe in accomplishing. Look at the video, they gave thousands of Ugandan children an opportunity at education with modernized amenities. Now in 2007, they seem far better off than what it was in 2003. It shows intense progression, but it also shows that this group, "Invisible Children" is far from finishing what they intended on getting themselves into. Help is still needed for this situation to be resolved.

The best and worst things that I did this summer happened at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. Why it is the best and worst things, are that now I am at home looking back on July when I did this trek, I look at it and see it as an awesome experience. I mean, it was some land I have never seen in my life. There was amazing views in the mountains of the Rockies that made the Appalachians look like puny, pathetic hills. I saw animals one could never see at home. I saw a vastly different culture/architecture driving to and from there in New Mexico. I got to hike with my friends for two weeks without obnoxious siblings  So overall, things I have done and I look back and have stories. But there was a few things while there that made it awful. While you're there you thought of it as a nightmare. Homesick, emotions, bored at points, exhaustion and pain. As you look on it you forget about the pain and see it as an amazing experience.
