Climbing on the roof

ENGLISH 9 JOURNAL ENTRY

Well, I'm not going to talk about the time when about the hungry thing b/c Mrs. Goodrick said I could. So instead, I'm going to talk about this weekend and my highlight story of the weekend. The Dulan's were going giving me a ride back from my soccer game in Reston which we won 5-1. I scored, so wahoo! When they dropped me off, nobody was home.

I soon realized that I was locked outside of my house. The garage door opener was broken, so I called my mom who happened to be all the way in Centreville. She said she would drive home to open the door when she had the chance to do so. She told me to politely wait until she arrived. Well, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

After getting off the phone with her, I went into the backyard and grabbed a 30-foot ladder and took it up to the roof and, as you could imagine, climbed on to the roof. This whole "operation" was to see if a window was open that I could climb in. This was before I realized that there were protective screens around the window, making me realize that I could not break in. So now, I'm all like "what now?"

For a couple of minutes, I sat on the roof thinking of alternate plans in deciding what to do and how to do it. I decide to then go back down the latter to realize it fell down as soon as I got off. I then tried to get a nail to pry the door open, and well, no luck.

Luckily, my mom got home without a clue of what I did, but she then asked me, "why is there a ladder in our front yard?"
