As comes April, comes the new top rankings for club soccer teams worldwide. So, looking at last month's list, I was a bit too bias towards the English Premier League, and UEFA in general. I did more homework, and made (hopefully) a better list came out of this. Some notable changes before the rankings:
  • UEFA Champion's League helps drive the rankings for the top of the top. Of the eight quarterfinalists in the tourney, seven of them are in the top ten. Bordeaux is not in the top ten and is—funny enough—#11
  • Barcelona and Arsenal remain the two top teams, respectively. How about the game earlier today?!
  • In UEFA: Manchester United and Real Madrid are noted teams to have fallen this month. New teams enter the list including Romania's CFR Cluj (#43), Portugal's Sporting de Braga (#41). Celtic FC takes a jump from #86 to #52, but Switzerland's Basel takes a fall down to #72 from #37.
  • Sure the Champions League (in CONCACAF), yet again, dominanted by Mexican clubs, it sparked some new rankings. Mexico's Toluca (#31) is now the highest ranked club team outside of UEFA and CONMEBOL. And who says MLS is a scrub league? Evidentally, not to the Columbus Crew (#53)! The American powerhouses after slightly losing to the mighty Toluca are off a pounding start to their season.
  • Only one African team makes the list for this month. TP Mezembe's shocking defeat, knocked them off the list. Egypt's Al Ahly (#82) makes the list.
  • Sadly, to many people's surprise, not one OFC team managed to make the list. The only team that might have a chance sometime soon is probably New Zealand's Auckland City FC.

MATEO, NC — Well, I never really got around to starting my blog in regards to the first entire day of being the Outer Banks of North Carolina for Spring Break '10. Trust me guys, don't be jealous. You're not missing anything. Right now, the weather is nothing impressive. It's around 50 degrees and the wind is whipping excessively. I'm about to head off though to bed, but while awake let's pump out a blog.

So, I guess this could be a short mini-series about this trip until Wednesday. In that case, I will be leaving practically tomorrow, I mean it's midnight here, so it is technically true. Though...36 hours from now, I'll be here still, about to leave though. I got awhile then, in that case.

Weather has been crappy, so let's talk about a widely ignored topic on vacations: luggage. Yes there's the lost suitcase stories on airplanes, but this was a five-hour (that actually took seven) car ride from NOVA down to OBX. So luggage was, in fact, not lost. But, as most people forget on trips, there is an essential that people forget. For me last year...it was all my chargers. That blew. But below is my list of the things I forgot:

I know. I get it. It's Spring Break. AND. YOU. DON'T. WANT. TO. THINK. ABOUT. SCHOOL.

AT ALL.

Well, I managed to bring some minor enjoyment into the dreadful IB English class. Or as I like to call it: The Science of Analyzing the Analyzed Analyzation...and then arguing about it, while throwing in some big words.

It's oh so true, but a few days ago...I think Thursday? Not sure, we played the Ivanhoe Game, and during the process learned from Ms. Fulton (my IB English teacher) how her very husband snickers at the title of the game. How? Giggling and going "hee-hee, I'm a hoe".

WOW. Even at my premature adolescent age, I'm smart enough to know how foolish he sounds at HIS AGE. Good God.

So, you take a role in critiquing a book, and that's all I could understand. Basically, I was a famous book review critic. Who was I specifically? Well according to my slip of paper saying my job:
A famous literary critic.
Great job Ms. Fulton, you make me proud of your knowledge of renowned literary critics. So, anways, here's my "review" of the Great Gatsby. I think you all will enjoy it. I'm warning you there's some out-of-bounds language here (mainly because I found out halfway through the assignment, that we weren't turning it in). So the first half is clean...-ish...like. Second half? Dirty, dirty, dirty, shit. Not really, but it's somewhat offensive for the weak minded. Here we go:

It seemed absolutely necessary, since TweetDeck wouldn’t shut the hell up in making sure I “upgraded” my version of TweetDeck from version 0.32.2 to the, so-called…”much improved” version of 0.32.5. OH MY GOD! This seems absolutely mandatory!!!! SHIT. IM BEHIND!!!!! Good Lord…help me!

Okay, so now that I’ve spewed all that evident irony, let’s show you a screenshot of what TweetDeck looked like before I did the “upgrade”:
