Top 100 Football (soccer) club teams for April 2010

As comes April, comes the new top rankings for club soccer teams worldwide. So, looking at last month's list, I was a bit too bias towards the English Premier League, and UEFA in general. I did more homework, and made (hopefully) a better list came out of this. Some notable changes before the rankings:

• UEFA Champion's League helps drive the rankings for the top of the top. Of the eight quarterfinalists in the tourney, seven of them are in the top ten. Bordeaux is not in the top ten and is—funny enough—#11
• Barcelona and Arsenal remain the two top teams, respectively. How about the game earlier today?!
• In UEFA: Manchester United and Real Madrid are noted teams to have fallen this month. New teams enter the list including Romania's CFR Cluj (#43), Portugal's Sporting de Braga (#41). Celtic FC takes a jump from #86 to #52, but Switzerland's Basel takes a fall down to #72 from #37.
• Sure the Champions League (in CONCACAF), yet again, dominanted by Mexican clubs, it sparked some new rankings. Mexico's Toluca (#31) is now the highest ranked club team outside of UEFA and CONMEBOL. And who says MLS is a scrub league? Evidentally, not to the Columbus Crew (#53)! The American powerhouses after slightly losing to the mighty Toluca are off a pounding start to their season.
• Only one African team makes the list for this month. TP Mezembe's shocking defeat, knocked them off the list. Egypt's Al Ahly (#82) makes the list.
• Sadly, to many people's surprise, not one OFC team managed to make the list. The only team that might have a chance sometime soon is probably New Zealand's Auckland City FC.
