The Era of Post-Grunge: Part V

Part V: The clash of the shit rock; Pop punk vs. Post-grunge vs. Emo

Time kept going and he was losing his patience with the bands he poisoned up with his generica trash. After the burst in 2001 and 2002 he was trying to think of a new plan. He saw a problem though in 2003 through 2004. He noticed his biggest attention whore rivals were getting in the way. Pop-Punk and Emo. With their bands like The Click Five, Fall Out Boy, All American Reject and Bowling For Soup stealing the rock mainstream...Post Grunge was boiling in anger at them. They stole his spotlight. Throughout the quiet year of 2004 for Post Grunge he was going to try hard for his 2005 master plan. It would ensure Post Grunge was the king of the shittiest rock music of the 21st century.

Problems came for Post Grunge though. His first problem was the total lack of cooperation with Theory of a Deadman. Theory was trying out their own styles and making their own sound that was more inspired by Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam and less by Creed and Nickelback. Post Grunge was infuriated at Theory and then Theory basically took a shit on Post Grunge’s lawn and never looked back at the dread genre. Post Grunge came across the same problems for Seether and Staind when they made “Karma and Effect” and “Chapter V”, respectively. They were heavy, back to their roots sounds, that Post Grunge hated with a burning passion.
