The Era of Post-Grunge: Part IV

Part IV: Hey! Look at me! I'm like grunge except a thousand times more shittier!

After the failure with Creed, Post-Grunge poisoned Nickelback with “generica trash”... it worked, but not the way Post Grunge wanted it to work. Nickelback’s third album Silver Side Up, had a song “How You Remind Me” that reached #1 in almost every country Post Grunge could think of. Post Grunge was proud of his efforts...but since he was an attention whore, he wasn’t proud enough. He then saw potential in Staind...who was a nu metal band. He knew his wrath would be unstoppable if he could poison Staind and make them generic mainstream rock trash. It sadly worked. “It’s Been Awhile” was a bit hit on the Hot 100.

You see, the Billboard Modern and Mainstream Rock tracks were not enough for Post Grunge, he didn’t give a shit about them, he only cared about the Billboard Hot 100. And that was it. Slowly he began to poison bands like Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace and Theory of a Deadman.
