The Era of Post-Grunge: Part II

Part II: Welcome to Mainstream (Hell)

Grunge soon began to make a couple friends like him. He very first friend was Buzz Osborne who would later make the legendary band “Melvins”. Soon over time, Grunge began to make more homeboys to chill with, such as Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Mudhoney and the Stone Temple Pilots. Grunge though started to get irritated, because of the mainstream. Grunge HATED the mainstream, more than he hated anything else (except his homeboys). Around say, 1991-1993, Grunge was somewhat forced into the mainstream....

What did you expect?! Did you think Grunge liked that?! Hell...no! Grunge was getting awkward and frustrated and worse...depressed that he was famous and people wanted to be like Grunge. Grunge wanted nobody to be like him. It was also getting to his homeboys like Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Alice In Chains who were getting the worst of the mainstream attention. Grunge was impressed with Mudhoney though and how they completely flicked off the mainstream and did their shit. But after two years, Grunge couldn’t handle it. Neither could Kurt Cobain...so...he shot himself. David Grohl made the Foo Fighters, and Kovenselic went down under and lived happily ever after in isolation.
