Album Review: "Life Turns Electric" - Finger Eleven

With the anticipation of yet another trite album from the likes of F11, especially with the track records of their contemporaries, it was an unexpected surprised to see a band of Finger Eleven's kind do something no other concurring alt-metal/post-post grunge hard rock band would do: evolve their sound.

Is this a revolutionary album then? No. This is though a somewhat dignified album, with a handful of okay tracks mixed with some awkward filler here and there as well. What makes this a more...tolerable album is the inevitable notice picked up when listening to F11 tracks such as "Any Moment Now" and "Good Intentions" and see the echoing from Them vs. You vs. Me. The point is, is that it's a stepping stone in progression of sound. Progression isn't always what makes a bad good, but it certainly is if they do it right.

F11 has partially hit that target with this release, hardcore F11 fans may be critical to this record.
