Over this weekend in the lovely game of football I found out some interesting/evident news I'd like to share with you:
- MLS is now the third most highest attended sports league in the United States, surpassing the NBA and NHL
- Josh Wicks of DC United is gone, according to a tweet from DCU's Twitter feed, now only if they could rid Onlafo
- Man U is now only a point behind Chelsea
- Maicon's goal...iconic. Best of the decade so far. Could link only the news about it, but hell, here's the video:
Before I wrap up, this goal from Jamaican international, Lovel Palmer of the Houston Dynamo, should have been a Top 10 play on ESPN. I know, I know, ESPN is bias towards favoring EPL over MLS football, which makes perfect sense. But not going to lie, when you shoot from about 40 yards out and bury it in the back corner...it's notorious. Especially less than 20 minutes in. Houston beat Chivas USA 3-0:
