I could go right ahead and tell you all to watch it because it is such a gloomy day outside, for the first time in weeks, but I am going to give you three soccer-based reasons why you should give a damn in watching the 2010 FIFA World Cup third-place game.

Before I get into the reasons, a bit of background knowledge. Germany is playing Uruguay at 2:30 today on ABC, coverage starts...around 1:30 pm? I'm not for sure about that, so you might want to check ESPN's web site, the paper or your TV remote guide (if you have one). While Germany's the likely favorite, Uruguay is still a force to be reckoned with, as the Dutch barely squeaked away with a victory in the semis.

Time now to get into the reasons, I hope this means you drop any other plans you have to watch this game:

Dear World,

When you see a wild gorilla with a longboard...be careful.

Watch Out for Gorillas

Though I didn't actually go on my Boy Scout troop's week long expedition to Camp Bowman, I went down on Thursday for the Thursday night dinner. At the dinner, there's a lot of good food. Steak, ribs, jumbalya (no clue how to spell it) chicken, pasta, shrimp, more steak, cream soda, orange cream soda...

I make my point. There's a ton of good stuff. No. Incredibly taste bud orgasm food.

That being said, here's a photo story of my day from moment one at 5:30 AM to the time I went to sleep...2:00 AM the next day, back home. It was like camping, except I slept six hours in a car...the rest in a bed...that was not in a tent.

5:45 AM – Wake up. Feels like school.
5:55 AM – Actually need to get out of bed.
6:03 AM – Dressing in my stylish Scout apparal. Get in car, go to the CPC.
6:27 AM – Loading up car, this is what my seat will be like for the next four hours driving to Goshen:

I found this a bit surreal. Okay, we all collectively know this band is merely accepted sound, but they're not doing their same gimmick. Nu metal band, decided to go post-grunge route to get more so-called 'fans'.
Suppose that's biting them in the ass too.

So, ladies and gentlemen, the post-rocker's (now)...Papa Roach. Oh, how the fireworks will explode...not the good explode.

WARNING: Papa Roach music.

WATCH: Uruguay vs. Ghana Highlights

Oh, what a lovely, gentle World Cup this has turned out to be, hasn't it?

Lets go back to the start. Steviee Tshabalala gives the nation the iconic start to open the cup, Robert Green becomes the worldwide laughingstock of keeping, French coach going all astrological (literally), plus our nations' very own Jonathan Bornstein is no longer the pinaccle of shit soccer play. Why, he's practically on the cusp of pure mediocrity.

How it brings tears to my eyes.

More recently, as in within the last hour or so, one man did something quite unthinkable. Using his own two bare hands, he made an entire continent want to skin him alive.

Suárez cheats Uruguay into the semis, with some excellent keeping.
